Kurzbiografie
Èlia Farreras-Cabero, die katalanische Sopranistin, begann im Alter von vier Jahren mit dem Cellospiel und studierte später Gesang am Conservatori Professional de Música de Sabadell bei ihrer Mutter, Elisenda Cabero. Derzeit studiert sie Gesang an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin bei Britta Schwarz.
Ihre Ausbildung ergänzt sie durch Kurse und Meisterklassen bei renommierten Spezialisten wie Wolfram Rieger, Thomas Quasthoff, Christoph Prégardien, Graham Johnson, Richard Stokes, Christiane Iven, Lluís Vilamajor, Ofelia Sala…
In diesem Jahr wurde sie im Rahmen des Programms Lied the Future mit dem Stipendium der Schubertíada sowie als Young Artist beim Leeds Lieder Festival ausgezeichnet. Seit 2023 erhält sie das Deutschlandstipendium.
Sie trat bereits als Solistin in bedeutenden Konzertsälen wie dem Konzerthaus Berlin, dem Palau de la Música Catalana und der Deutschen Oper Berlin auf. Derzeit ist sie zudem als Cello- und Gesangslehrerin an der Musikschule Wildau tätig.
Short biography
Èlia Farreras-Cabero, the Catalan soprano, began playing the cello at the age of four and later studied singing at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Sabadell with her mother, Elisenda Cabero. She is currently studying singing at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Britta Schwarz, where she complements her training with courses and masterclasses with renowned specialists such as Wolfram Rieger, Thomas Quasthoff, Christoph Prégardien, Graham Johnson, Richard Stokes, Christiane Iven, Lluís Vilamajor, Ofelia Sala... This year she was awarded the Schubertíada scholarship as part of the Lied the Future programme and as a Young Artist at the Leeds Lieder Festival. Since 2023, she has received the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship and has already performed as a soloist in major concert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. She currently also works as a cello and singing teacher at the Wildau Music School.
